Your first solo adventure, one small step at a time.
Your first solo adventure doesn’t have to be a flight across the world. An afternoon somewhere new counts. Build a trip around the support you need, rather than an idea of what travel should look like.

1. Start smaller than you think
Choose a familiar activity in a new setting: a café in the next town, a museum with a clear floor plan, or a short walk near home. Set a comfortable time to return. You can make the next trip bigger if you want to.
2. Give the day one anchor
Pick one thing you would like to do. Save its address, opening hours, and the route home before leaving. Everything else is optional. Having one anchor makes it easier to change the day without feeling that the whole plan has fallen apart.
3. Make support easy to reach
Tell someone you trust where you’re going and agree on a check-in that works for both of you. Charge your phone, save important details offline, and keep a backup way to pay separate from your main wallet.
4. Plan your way out, too
Knowing how to leave can make arriving feel easier. Check your return options, choose a place to take a break, and give yourself permission to go home early. An adventure is still an adventure when it is shorter than planned.
5. Notice what worked
When you get home, write down one thing you enjoyed and one thing you would change. Rest before deciding how the day went. Your notes can become a personal travel guide that gets more useful with every trip.
